Red-Tailed Hawk

Here is one of my all time favorite photographs of an all time favorite bird. This is Archie and Red-tailed Hawk. Who was being a tremendously good sport, showing unusual tolerance for his species.

After getting up close an personal with a bird of his kind it is hard not to appreciate how evolution has produced such a well balanced hunting machine.

After spending some time examining his reflection in my lens he turned his head perfectly to the side as if to say: "I'm ready for my close up Mr. Deville" I took the shot thanked him for a wonderful session and gave him a peice of chicken as a reward!
